The Discovery Bay Corvette Club runs Cars & Coffee at the Discovery Bay Marina and Yacht Club parking lot from April 18th through October 17th, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The farmers market at Discovery Bay Marina runs every Sunday 8 a.m. to noon, June through October, and stocks certified produce, baked goods, fresh cut flowers, and local artisan goods. The Discovery Bay Community Foundation's Rockin' the Bay summer concert series is held on the Discovery Bay Yacht Harbor Concert Lawn, free and family-friendly, with beverage sales benefitting the community and no outside coolers permitted.
Everything is either at the marina or within walking distance of it. If you want to design a weekend that isn't a scheduling puzzle, treat the harbor as your anchor and build around it.
Saturday morning: coffee first, water second

It sounds like folk wisdom. It is folk wisdom. It is also the single most useful thing anyone will tell you about piloting out of Discovery Bay in your first summer.
Sunday belongs to the market
Sunday morning in Discovery Bay is quieter than Saturday, and the market is the reason to leave the house. The rhythm is different. Cars & Coffee is a lot; the market is a walk. It shares the marina footprint but occupies it differently. Because it wraps at noon, it also frees the rest of your Sunday completely, which is what makes it work as a weekly habit rather than an occasional errand.
The practical benefit of the Sunday market for anyone who cooks is that the produce coming out of East Contra Costa in August is at its peak. Brentwood's farm belt is fifteen minutes away, and the stone fruit, corn, and tomatoes on the tables at 9 a.m. were on the vine or in the orchard on Friday. That is not a claim you can make about a supermarket run.
If you have out-of-town guests staying with you, the Sunday sequence that actually converts skeptics is: market at 9, coffee and pastries carried down to the dock, a slow midday cruise, and a late lunch at the Marina Bar and Grill patio on the way back in. Between formal concerts and events, boats usually start making their way back into the marina between 4 and 5 p.m., ending the day by unloading and cleaning. If you want the concert lawn without the crowd, arrive with your chair at 4:30 and you'll have your pick of spots.
